Late... v late infact... But finally...
3G should soon rollout in India with the announcement made by the government that the spectrum to be released immediately. This announcement was made on Monday.
Apart from this, other good news is introduction of Mobile Number Portability. With Mobile Number Portability, users can now change theiroperators and switch to another operator without even changing the number.
In Simple terms, if you want to change from Reliance to Airtel, Vodafone, etc or vice versa you can do so, and your number will remain same.
In 1st round, it would be introduced in 4 metros followed by rest of India.
